Part of the mission of the Schloss Kapfenburg Foundation is to promote (inter)cultural and musical youth education in Baden-Württemberg. The main target group are the music schools in the state, which find ideal rehearsal conditions at Schloss Kapfenburg.
In addition to music schools, the castle also offers recreational and professional musicians, national and international ensembles, orchestras and choirs from schools, clubs and associations a unique infrastructure for intensive work phases.
Rehearsal guests also have the opportunity to book exercise programmes.
Rehearsal rooms and equipment
At Kapfenburg Castle, numerous rooms of various sizes are available for your rehearsal stay. There are eight rehearsal rooms with up to 174 square metres in the high castle. Our 300 square metre concert hall offers enough space even for large orchestras, and the building wing also has two smaller rehearsal rooms.
All rehearsal rooms are equipped with a piano. Chairs and music stands are also available in sufficient numbers. Rental instruments can be booked by appointment.
Room use is included in the price for rehearsal stays.

If you would like to book instruments for your rehearsal, please tick your preferences on the registration form and indicate whether they are needed for the tutti or a register rehearsal.
Please understand that instruments can only be made available by prior arrangement. For rehearsal stays, the use of the instruments is included in the price. There are two grand pianos in the concert hall as well as two more grand pianos in other rehearsal rooms.
This incurs a usage fee of 150.00 euros per day and grand piano.
