Young talents

The Junge Philharmonie Ostwürttemberg e.V. (JPO) is a project orchestra made up of a selection of the most talented young musicians from the Ostwürttemberg region. Founded in 1995, the orchestra is a likeable cultural ambassador for the region far beyond the state borders - and an important partner of the Kapfenburg Castle Foundation.

For example, the Junge Philharmonie traditionally spends its project phases in spring and summer at the castle and regularly opens the festival as part of the opening performance. It is also the first orchestra nationwide to be certified as a "healthy orchestra".
