AWARD WINNERS
Young talents

The Trude Eipperle Rieger Prize has been awarded in cooperation with the Trude Eipperle Rieger Foundation since 2005. As an endowed legacy of the soprano Trude Eipperle Rieger (1908-1997), the prize supports young singers who achieve extraordinary vocal results in the field of classical and contemporary song. Previous prize winners include such internationally successful artists as the soprano Sophie Klußmann, Kateryna Kasper and the Calmus Ensemble. The prize winners are selected in cooperation with the International Hugo Wolf Academy Stuttgart.

The award ceremony takes place as part of the Encounters, where people from politics, business and culture meet for an open exchange at Kapfenburg Castle. Another highlight of the event are the annually changing guest speakers who share visions and experiences from their lives.

THE AWARD WINNERS 2023

are Katja Maderer (Soprano) and Samuel Stopford (Tenor).

They'll receive the award October 5th, 2023 at Kapfenburg Castle.
